Dolphin stranding in Kuta

Yesterday we responded on a call of Bpk Permana Yudiarso , head of BPSPL about a dolphin stranded in front of discovery mall in Kuta. We suspect this dolphin is a Tursiops aduncus species, a Indo-Pacific bottlenos dolphin or a Steno bredanensis, a rough toothed dolphin. Unfortunately the dolphin was already burried by the cleaning staff of the mall when we arrived and we could not take a DNA sample. We have socialized procedures with the staff of the mall to ensure policies will be followed in the future.
