About the event

Ticket price includes coffee / tea and cake. Remaining funds will be used for the benefit of the children helped by the foundation.

Jodie O'Shea house has cared for hundreds of children since it was founded in 2005. During the course of time the view on institutionalized care changed. Reunification of children in Jodie O'Shea house has been carried out since 2019, in line with the 2011 Indonesian National Standard on Child Welfare Institutions and UN conventions on the rights of the child.

In this meeting, Westerlaken foundation and Global Development Group will explain why the choice for reunification has been made, the processes for reunification, the safety and well-being of the children, empowerment of families, the continuation of education and allegations made by The Guardian in 2018 (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/feb/05/most-children-still-have-parents-bali-orphanage).
