Yayasan Bali Bersih/Westerlaken Foundation has been actively publishing information regarding stranded turtle incidents since 2021, and the tangible results of these efforts are evident in the latest publication of 2022. This publication provides a clear overview of the declining trend in the number of stranded turtles on Bali Island. From 39 stranded turtles in 2021, the number dramatically decreased to only 7 in 2022. The increased awareness among the community and the sustained conservation efforts carried out by Yayasan Bali Bersih/Westerlaken Foundation appears to have had a significant positive impact on the protection of the marine ecosystem and its inhabitants.
