Today we visited Lamalera. This village is known for its traditional whale hunting, one of the last villages in Indonesia and in the world still practicing the whalehunt. Ofcourse we do not agree on the practice of the whale hunt and do think a solution needs to be found, but we also acknowledge that the issue culturally and socially is complex. Let’s think about this with other stakeholders (GO’s & NGO’s). What is the best approach?
