Last weekend we did a survey to Perancak’s Kurma Asih Turtle Conservation. The thirteen green turtles that were kept for the turtle meat industry by a man in Negera are now safe in the beforementioned foundation. Eleven of them are in good health, two are suffering from Fibropapillomatosis, tumors on the eyes which we are seeing more and more frequent. We do expect that those green turtles where part of the same trade scheme as the eighteen turtles in the crashed truck a few weeks ago, based on their humanmade markings on their shield.
